Microsoft wants to promote its cloud service. That is why Windows 10 comes with OneDrive preinstalled, and without an obvious way to uninstall it. Fortunately, with some command line magic, we can completely uninstall OneDrive in Windows 10 Home and Pro, or just disable it in Windows 10 Pro.

The method to disable OneDrive relies on the Group Policy Editor, which is only available in Windows 10 Pro. That's why Windows 10 home s only have the option to uninstall OneDrive.
If you are not sure which Windows 10 version you are running, just press Win + Pause/Break to open the system properties.
To disable OneDrive, we need to access the Group Policy Editor, by pressing Win + R and typing:
gpedit.msc
On the Group Policy Editor, we navigate to Local Computer Policy -> Computer Configuration -> istrative Templates -> Windows Components -> OneDrive.
Inside the OneDrive folder, we edit the policy setting...
...and enable the policy to disable OneDrive.

To completely uninstall OneDrive, we need to open a Command Prompt with istrative rights. The fastest way to do so is by right-clicking the Start Menu Windows icon and select "Command Prompt ()".
On the command prompt, first we stop any OneDrive processes with:
taskkill /f /im OneDrive.exe
Then, if we are running 32-bit Windows 10, we type:
%SystemRoot%\System32\OneDriveSetup.exe /uninstall
For 64-bit Windows 10, we type instead:
%SystemRoot%\SysWOW64\OneDriveSetup.exe /uninstall
This command will uninstall OneDrive. It won't show any success message.

So, it's perfectly safe to this file and use it to uninstall OneDrive, if you don't want to mess with the command line.
